Vintage craft and classic style, the essence of true hand made music after all the flashy effects have worn off

A Break in the Routine represents the stripped back minimalist side of the Post Social Experiment. The EP of six songs was recorded at Abbey Road Studios by Steve Robinson while he was travelling through the UK.

Intimate and reflective, it is a break from the full band routine and features Steve performing piano, acoustic guitar, trumpet, harmonica and vocals.

Asleep at the Wheel - acoustic version

True to old school tradition this ain’t the hi tech polish we’ve all been trained to believe is music. The lyrics and the recording here are as raw as the emotion.

So you can be sure there’s no AI used in any of this…. or even auto correct.

I made sure you could hear that for yourself.

Crap! A bio. Really? Well I tell ya, this better be good.

Storyteller, poet, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, eclectic musical adventurer, Steve Robinson is your guide through the chaos. Don’t worry, he’s been there, he’s done it, lived it and has the scars to prove it, so you’re in capable hands.

Musicians that work with Steve in the Post Social Experiment are Tim Ritchie on bass and vocals, Rob Laurie on drums, ukulele and vocals, and a broad collection of exceptional guest artists.

True handmade music that is as complex as it is minimalist, lush as it is raw, organic as richly composted soil, and as real as you can get.

Anyways, you can talk about it as much as you like but it won’t help anyone better understand what it is. Best have a listen and see if it works for you.
